Le Pilgrimage

We've been on a high since getting back from Le Pilgrimage last week. A trail running event in the heart of the French Alps, 125KM of trail, 7500meters of climbing and a night at Refugee du Pelvoux.

The checkpoints kept everyone fuelled with quality local food, fresh coffee, plenty of water (and a cheeky génépi) before the next climb.

Being able to put our gear to the test in these beautiful rugged landscapes is a key part of our process, and this multi-day adventure was the perfect testing ground for our prototype hydration vest (keep your eyes peeled for more info on this soon).

In the weeks before the event, we were busy making an event flag and bandanas for every participant. We hand-dyed the fabric using natural dye from flowers local to the Alps, hand-cut lettering for the flag, then screenprinted that design onto each bandana. Not the most time-efficient way to do it — but the result feels special, and we hope every participant holds onto theirs.

See you there next year!?
